James Mane is a stand-up comedian and podcast host born in American Samoa and raised in Aiea, Hawaii. His comedy blends sharp cultural observations with fearless storytelling about growing up Polynesian in the islands and life in modern Hawaii.
Mane was featured in Forbes as one of “12 Rising AAPI Stand-Up Comedians To Watch.” He also made history as the first Samoan comedian to perform a featured stand-up set on North American television when he appeared on FNX’s First Nations Comedy Experience, which aired across the United States and Canada and is now streaming on Amazon Prime.
He co-starred in the Adult Swim series Decker, playing the character Lanoi Arnold.
Mane has shared stages with Dave Chappelle, Bert Kreischer, Ronny Chieng, Patton Oswalt, Wanda Sykes, and Amy Schumer, and has performed at major comedy venues including the World Famous Comedy Store, LA Comedy Club in Las Vegas, Helium Comedy Club in Portland, and Nate Jackson’s Super Funny Comedy Club in Tacoma.
